Reini Homes builds custom homes in Landrum and the Tryon foothills — and right now we own three five-acre lots here, wooded, with views of Hogback Mountain, that we're building on next. We're a family-owned builder, licensed in South Carolina for 30 years, and every build is a joint effort between Benjamin Reini's experience and his sons' next-generation approach — so the people you meet at the start are the people building your house.
If you've been looking for land in Landrum and a builder you trust to put a house on it, this is both.
Three five-acre lots on a quiet country road, surrounded by farms and orchards, with long views of Hogback Mountain. Wooded enough for privacy, open enough for a house, a barn, a garden, and room for the grandkids to run.
Three homes, not thirty. We could have cut this land into as many lots as the county would allow. We didn't. Three mini farms keep the trees, the views and the quiet that made us stop the car in the first place — and it just feels right.
No HOA. No covenants. The only approval is ours, and we're easy to work with — we want these three homes to look like they belong together on the hill, and that's about it. Horses are welcome. Build a barn, keep chickens, plant an orchard of your own.
County water and septic. County water is at the road; septic is sized to the house you build.
Five minutes from everything, and it feels like none of it. Interstate 26 is about five minutes away, so Spartanburg, Greenville, Asheville and GSP airport are all easy. Downtown Landrum and Tryon's horse country are minutes in the other direction. Groceries and restaurants are within ten minutes. And the coffee is just over the North Carolina line in Columbus.
Three kinds of people keep calling about Landrum.
Empty nesters building the forever home — the one with a long table and enough bedrooms that the grandkids beg to stay the weekend. A young family who wants a mini farm: a few acres, a barn, kids who grow up outside. And people leaving crowded, heavily regulated places for somewhere with room, quiet, and fewer rules about what you can do on your own land.
All three want the same thing out of the house: built right, built once, and sized for a life that happens outdoors as much as in.
The first home on the hill is in design now — our plan, drawn for this land and these views. Come in early and you'll choose the finishes before anything is locked.
The other two lots are open. Bring your own architect and plan, and we'll build to it; the only approval it needs is from our team, and that's about making sure the three homes belong together on the hill.
Either way, the land comes with the house. Homes here start at $1.25 million, land included.
We didn't find this land on a listing. Norma drove past it for years on the way to her favorite coffee shop in Columbus, and admired it every time — the peace of it, the farms and orchards on either side, Hogback Mountain filling the windshield. One morning there was a small for-sale sign at the road. She hit the brakes, called Benjamin from the shoulder, and the rest is history.
We're building here because we'd live here. And we're building only three homes because that's what the land can hold without losing what we fell for.
We're meticulous, we're personally involved, and we've been doing this for more than 30 years. Every Reini build is a joint effort: Benjamin's three decades of experience and the fresh eyes of his sons, Dexter and Ty, who bring current methods, current materials, and the energy to run a job hard. You get the judgment of a builder who's seen everything and the drive of the next generation who intends to be building here for the next thirty years. Your build doesn't get handed off to a superintendent you've never met. It stays with the family whose name is on the truck.
Come stand on the hill and look at Hogback. We'll show you the three lots, talk through what fits where, and tell you what it would take — before you commit to anything.
